There are proposed changes to copyright law that would drastically weaken your protections. Unlike current law, which gives full protection even to unregistered works, the new law would allow someone to USE YOUR WORK if they claimed they could not identify the author. This legislation, called “Orphan Works,” has failed twice before, but it is now back.
To help fight this change, you need to submit a letter to the Copyright Office website by Thursday, July 23!
